Scattered, my thoughts, are they
and hidden my emotions
at dusk the darkness is cast
to the deepest of places
The shadows advance
as does the light
the direction of both
starkly opposed
Yesterday,
from the mountain's peak
could I see, the light
in fullness, surrounding me
My time, full, like pearls
cast before swine
an ear is made for listening
and an eye for seeing
But sight is not the only sense
to follow a bright light
yet ignore the mortar's blast
could injury ensue?
Wounds to bandage
is right still good?
Now what to do?
(an ear is made for listening)
Walking down
between the expanse, of the two
one dark
one Light
On the left
Light
the right
shadows
Shadows are my heritage
in them do I find
comfort, where?
in the mind
Today, the Light is more
entice it does, my heart
while the mind its pearls
and time have they realized
Oh, that these two
could marry
rather than hold hands
journeying that path
Heart left,
mind right
on occasion
does one pull its own direction
The bandages, have fallen
though have I noticed?
the eyes look right
yet the voice on the left
By what am I guided
or by whom am I led?
An ear is made for hearing
and the eye for seeing
Tomorrow,
do I stand in the day
and also at night?
the future awaits
Heart and mind
wedded and birthed
a soul in whom
both eyes and ears
That stands on the left
yet looks to the right
is not afraid of either
thus stands tall
Eyes that see
the pain in the darkness
yet ears that hear
the healing in the Light
Strength is in hearing
calling in seeing
Oh soul do not fail
for the mountain you shall see
Listen you ears
eyes may you open
for ears are made for hearing
and eyes for seeing.
